The museum has lots to offer to family visitors. There are hands-on activities including trains, a 1950s doll’s house, a range of traditional toys to play with and Tudor clothes to try on. There is a regular programme of activities during the school holidays, including the popular Wednesday Create! sessions, trails and craft cases.
“Hello and many thanks – my daughter and her friend had a wonderful afternoon at your very interesting museum. The staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The children’s activities were also very good. As we left the museum, both the girls, unprompted, said “thanks that was wonderful”. I think they especially enjoyed dressing up in the Tudor costumes. Thanks again and we will certainly be paying you a visit again in the future.”
