Book launch: Do Fish Cry?
December 7, 2024 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
Due to unforeseen circumstances we sadly have to cancel the Book Launch for “Do Fish Cry?”. We hope we might be able to rearrange the event for another date, so do keep an eye out for any updates next year.
Join us to celebrate the publication of a new children’s picture book written by Mary Hamilton, illustrated by Elly Bazigos – and inspired by Amersham’s Charter Fair! Hear Mary read the book, and buy your own copy (£10 per book).
Mary Hamilton is the the ‘nom de plume’ of Annie Hamilton-Pike. Her story was inspired by her own visits to Amersham Fair with her dad when she was a child. Then in her teenage years she went along with friends and other members of her family. She loved it! Mary says ‘All this was many years ago, but I will never forget those memories. This is my first children’s book and hopefully not my last!’
Locally illustrator Elly created the pictures for the book. When she was 5 she won ‘Freddie’ the goldfish at a fair, he was her first pet.
Please make sure you have checked details before ordering tickets. It is necessary for the museum to charge a cancellation fee of £1 to cover credit card and administration costs.
