Local Drovers’ Routes walk

August 14, 2021 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Free – £5.00
Mop End Lane

Amersham was one of six parishes which shared unrestricted rights to use Wycombe Heath for grazing cattle. This walk will take you up one of the local drove routes out of Amersham and onto Wycombe Heath, and down another drove route from the Heath into the Misbourne valley following the boundary between Amersham and Little Missenden. We will return along the original London road through the Shardeloes estate. The six mile walk takes about three hours. Some parts may be muddy after wet weather and some paths are narrow with nettles – so shorts are only for the brave!

Adults and Friends £5, Children Free.
