The museum will re-open on Saturday 22nd August. We will be open at weekends only, 12 noon to 4.30pm. We ask that you pre-book your visit.

Our town walk and Tudor walk will also resume on the weekend of 22nd and 23rd August. We ask that you pre-book your place on a walk.

The minimum number of booking required for a walk is three people. If fewer than three people are booked on to the walk by midday the Friday before the walk, it will be cancelled and you will be notified.

Talk: Revolting Women: Our Local Suffragettes

November 8, 2018 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Local historian Alison Bailey will shares the stories of the women, and some men, who lived locally and campaigned for women’s suffrage. If you lived in Amersham in 1914 would you have been a suffragette, a suffragist or an Anti? If you think Brexit is divisive come and hear out talk about the local suffrage movement and think what your views might have been at the time. 

The talk takes place in the Market Hall, High Street, Amersham. Doors open at 7.30pm for an 8pm start. Tickets cost £8 each or £6 each for Friends of the Museum and include a glass of wine. Please note that access to the Market Hall is only via a flight of stairs; there is no lift.
