Talk: Revolting Women: Our Local Suffragettes

November 8, 2018 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Local historian Alison Bailey will shares the stories of the women, and some men, who lived locally and campaigned for women’s suffrage. If you lived in Amersham in 1914 would you have been a suffragette, a suffragist or an Anti? If you think Brexit is divisive come and hear out talk about the local suffrage movement and think what your views might have been at the time. 

The talk takes place in the Market Hall, High Street, Amersham. Doors open at 7.30pm for an 8pm start. Tickets cost £8 each or £6 each for Friends of the Museum and include a glass of wine. Please note that access to the Market Hall is only via a flight of stairs; there is no lift.
