Discover the historic buildings and the interesting stories of the people who lived in and shaped the town in the past. \n\nThe workhouses of Amersham\nCoaching inns and 18th and 19th century travel\nSocial housing\nCottage industries\nPost War development:\n    – Brazils factory to Tesco\n    – Gas Works to offices\n    – Bus Garage to retirement homes\n    – Workhouse to hospital\n\n1½ to 2 hours. \nWe strongly recommending booking your tickets in advance to guarantee your place on our walks. While we will do our best to accommodate people on the day\, places are subject to availability. \nNotes\nIf you would like to visit the museum on the same day as your walk\, this is possible from 11:30am before the walk starts\, but there is not time after the walk finishes. \nIf you have queries about accessibility or routes\, please get in touch and we would be happy to provide you with detailed information. \nPlease make sure you have checked details before ordering tickets. It is necessary for the museum to charge a cancellation fee of £1 to cover credit card and administration costs.
