Our volunteer lacemakers will demonstrate how bobbin lace is made there will be a chance to give it a go yourself\, ask questions\, and learn about the history of bobbin lacemaking in Amersham. Adults and children welcome\, normal museum entrance fee applies.

Discover the historic buildings and the interesting stories of the people who lived in and shaped the town in the past. \n\nEarly history of Amersham\nLocal patronage and its influence\nParish church and its rectors\nBrewery and the maltings\nTown Mill and the Charter Fair\n17th century & Victorian almshouses\n\n1½ to 2 hours. \nPre-booking is recommended. \nNotes\nIf you would like to visit the museum on the same day as your walk\, this is possible from 11:30am before the walk starts\, but there is not time after the walk finishes. \nIf you have queries about accessibility or routes\, please get in touch and we would be happy to provide you with detailed information. \nPlease make sure you have checked details before ordering tickets. It is necessary for the museum to charge a cancellation fee of £1 to cover credit card and administration costs.
