| About this object | This unusual photographic print comprises two identical images on a singular page forming a strange, almost disorienting, composition. Mother and son are pictured together, both smiling and in fine clothes. For Anthony Duparc, then just a boy in uniform, school was a neither good nor bad, although he was excited to leave school aged 16 and a half to train as an accountant. Growing-up he remembers that his father, Isaac, was a quintessential Victorian man - he couldn't recall a time when his father kissed him, although he was a loving parent. He found physical affection in his mother Ursula; this playful photo illustrates Anthony and Ursula’s close mother-son relationship. |
| Physical Description | Two identical black and white photos, one printed upside down of Anthony in school uniform and his mother Ursula Duparc with hat, coat and umbrella. |
