Help support Amersham Museum

*Prices include a minimum 10% voluntary donation to enable the Museum to collect gift aid on your admission today. Under the Gift Aid scheme, we offer you a clear choice between standard admission (£6) and Gift Aid admission (£7 or Annual Pass). It’s entirely up to you which ticket you choose.

By contributing the extra donation with your ticket, you help us to unlock an extra 25% income because we can then reclaim tax on the whole amount paid. Through a whole year, that can have a huge impact on our funds.

Group Visits

The museum welcomes pre-arranged visits by groups outside normal museum opening hours, during the day or in the evening. An introductory talk, either before the visit or when you arrive at the museum, can usually be arranged if requested.

We can also arrange a guided walk as part of your visit to the museum. Choose either:

  • A walk around the old town looking at the historic buildings and hearing about people who lived there, or
  • A Tudor walk, with a guide in costume, who will share details of life – and death – in Amersham in Tudor times; food and drink, work and housing, fairs and markets, sickness and cures, clothing, and ghosts and religious beliefs. The guide will also tell you about the Lollard martyrs as you visit some of the places relevant to their story.

“Enjoyable film and television location guided walk around Amersham hosted by Amersham Museum – here are the Sun Houses on Highover Park and further up the hill is High & Over.”
