We are currently closed for our Winter break.

We will re-open on Saturday 9th March 2024.

The museum welcomes pre-arranged visits by groups outside normal museum opening hours, during the day or in the evening. An introductory talk, either before the visit or when you arrive at the museum, can usually be arranged if requested. We can also arrange a guided walk as part of your visit to the museum.

You might like to explore the town as part of your visit. The Amersham Society has developed this map It can be freely downloaded from the Amersham Society website. It was published in 2018 by the Amersham Society, with support from the Dulcie Denison Will Trust, the Amersham Town Council and the Chiltern Society.

“Enjoyed our visit to this wonderful interactive museum where you are positively encouraged to touch things!”

“Visited Amersham museum yesterday – lovely place, provides many details on the history of the place. Plenty of cute cafes, pubs and shops around also… not difficult to find free parking nearby. ”

“A well-run, informative and interesting small museum on the main street. It’s mostly volunteer-run and they do a great job in keeping it and making you feel welcome…Check out the herb garden too.”

“Enjoyable film and television location guided walk around Amersham hosted by Amersham Museum – here are the Sun Houses on Highover Park and further up the hill is High & Over.”
