| About this object | This is a photograph of David and [Robert] Anthony Duparc, the two sons of Isaac and Ursula Duparc. David was born on 7th December 1930 and Anthony on 3rd August 1937. David and Anthony were both born at The Bynn, the family house in Little Chalfont, and lived there until they moved into a retirement centre in 2022. Anthony remembers going to primary school in Little Chalfont at a kindergarten school, known as St Nicholas’s, where St Nicholas Close is now. It was run by two ladies: Miss Harvey was the owner and Miss Whittaker her assistant. David had Asperger's Syndrome (an outdated term now diagnosed under the broader term "autism spectrum disorder"or ASD) although this was not medically recognised when he was a child. Whilst close throughout their lives, the two children grew closer still when Anthony assumed responsibility for looking after his brother following their parents' deaths. |
