Film night: Murder at the Gallop

December 5, 2024 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

£9.00
Murder at the Gallop

£9 per person including wine/soft drink

Amersham Museum presents….. Murder at the Gallop filmed on location in Amersham and Denham in 1963, it stars Margaret Rutherford, Stringer Davis, Robert Morley and Flora Robson.

Based on Agatha Christie’s 1953 novel After the Funeral, MGM decided to substitute Miss Marple for Hercule Poirot and to present the plot as a polite comedy. How many locations will you spot, how many differences will you see between Margaret Rutherford’s portrayal of Miss Marple and all the other actors who have played the part…… and how many clues will lead you to the murderer?

Join us to enjoy an introductory talk by Martin Pounce and then sit back to watch the film.

The talk will be in the Museum’s Woodcock Room which on the first floor, accessed by a platform lift. There is more information about accessibility here: Access Statement – Amersham Museum  Please get in touch with any queries about accessibility, or any requirements that we might need to know about to make your visit as straightforward as possible on 01494 723700 or [email protected].

“Enjoyable film and television location guided walk around Amersham hosted by Amersham Museum – here are the Sun Houses on Highover Park and further up the hill is High & Over.”
