For the third year, the Rotary Club of Amersham have provided funding to support the running costs of ‘Anthony’ our Mobile Museum. These welcome donations enable the museum team to get out and about to local events, fetes, schools and other organisations, bringing the history of Amersham and the surrounding area beyond the museum’s walls. Our brilliant volunteer team are taking Anthony to over 14 community events this year from Coleshill to Holmer Green, Hyde Heath to Hazlemere as well as playing a part in the monthly Old Amersham market and events in Amersham-on-the-Hill. Amersham Museum is a completely independent charity, receiving no regular council or government funding, and therefore entirely reliant on generating our own income, of which grants and donations from local and national bodies make up a significant part.
