See Amersham in miniature

Visit Amersham Museum on Heritage Day and – for one day only – see some of the models in our collection that show the town in miniature. From Sycamore Road shops to the old bus garage, get up close to these incredibly detailed objects that are usually stored safely away.

Get hands on in our garden

Tudor wise woman Mother Savoury will be on hand in our herbal garden to tell you all about the medical uses of the plants, and local lacemakers will be demonstrating how bobbin lace is made. There will be a chance to give it a go yourself, ask questions, and learn about the history of lacemaking in Amersham.

Special Heritage Day entrance fee of £1 for adults, children free. Open 12noon to 16:30.

For more information about all of the exciting events that are happening across the town, see Amersham Heritage Day – Amersham Town Council

“A well-run, informative and interesting small museum on the main street. It’s mostly volunteer-run and they do a great job in keeping it and making you feel welcome…Check out the herb garden too.”

“Enjoyable film and television location guided walk around Amersham hosted by Amersham Museum – here are the Sun Houses on Highover Park and further up the hill is High & Over.”
