Meet the Gardeners

May 11 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Explore the Museum’s beautiful herb garden and chat to our volunteer gardening team.

Included in normal admission price.

Amersham Museum has a wonderful garden, full of plants with medicinal and domestic uses. It was planted when the museum opened in 1991 and is maintained by a team of volunteer gardeners. Each plant is labelled to help you find out what they are and what they can be used for, but this afternoon offers you the opportunity to chat to the gardeners first-hand. Find out more about the plants, and the work behind-the-scenes to look after them.

“Visited Amersham museum yesterday – lovely place, provides many details on the history of the place. Plenty of cute cafes, pubs and shops around also… not difficult to find free parking nearby. ”

“A well-run, informative and interesting small museum on the main street. It’s mostly volunteer-run and they do a great job in keeping it and making you feel welcome…Check out the herb garden too.”

“Enjoyable film and television location guided walk around Amersham hosted by Amersham Museum – here are the Sun Houses on Highover Park and further up the hill is High & Over.”
