Urban Sketching

August 11 @ 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm
£10.00
A person sketching in a notebook displays drawings of a doorway, buildings, a statue, and a railing, some in colour. The person holds a pen and sits on a stone floor with a red pencil case nearby.
Ages 14+. £10 per person
Join Adrian Porter for a unique Urban Sketching Workshop.  Urban Sketching means you sketch what you see where you live or visit; small details or grand sweeps of buildings; the people; the places.  Inspired by the buildings of historic Old Amersham you can practice on-location sketching and capturing the area from direct observation.
Aimed at teens and adults, aged 14+. For beginners and more experienced sketchers.
Materials supplied but bring your own if you have some (sketchbook, pens / pencils, watercolour, folding stool is handy but not essential).
In co-operation with Wild Amersham.

A circular logo with a pink flower, green stem, and brown seeds embraces a subtle ske design. The words Wild Amersham are written in green on a white background.

“Enjoyed our visit to this wonderful interactive museum where you are positively encouraged to touch things!”

“Visited Amersham museum yesterday – lovely place, provides many details on the history of the place. Plenty of cute cafes, pubs and shops around also… not difficult to find free parking nearby. ”

“A well-run, informative and interesting small museum on the main street. It’s mostly volunteer-run and they do a great job in keeping it and making you feel welcome…Check out the herb garden too.”

“Enjoyable film and television location guided walk around Amersham hosted by Amersham Museum – here are the Sun Houses on Highover Park and further up the hill is High & Over.”
