Due to the current crisis we are not able to celebrate 75 years since VE Day in the way we had planned. However, some of our amazing volunteers have made bunting to celebrate, which people can see in the museum’s front window and reception as they walk past. Maybe you could make some and display it on your own front windows? VE Day was 8th May 1945. Click on this link to find out how Amersham celebrated Victory in Europe day, May 8th, 1945 and read the biographies of people who had moved to Amersham because of the war.

“A well-run, informative and interesting small museum on the main street. It’s mostly volunteer-run and they do a great job in keeping it and making you feel welcome…Check out the herb garden too.”

“Enjoyable film and television location guided walk around Amersham hosted by Amersham Museum – here are the Sun Houses on Highover Park and further up the hill is High & Over.”
