Do you enjoy maintaining organised financial records? Would you like to play a key volunteer role helping Amersham Museum to run smoothly?

Our current volunteer bookkeeper has decided to stand down after a number of years brilliantly supporting the Museum and its team. We are therefore looking for someone to take over the role. Although bookkeeping experience would be desirable, we are mainly looking for someone who is well organised, comfortable with handling cash and dealing with the bank, and has an ability to work with spreadsheets and basic online programmes.  A full role description is available here.

Please apply with a covering letter and CV by Friday 13 October either by email to [email protected] or Amersham Museum, 49 High Street, Amersham HP7 0DP

Please note that it may be possible to split this role into two smaller complementary roles. Please get in touch if that may be of interest to you, or you have further queries with Briony Hudson, Director [email protected]

“A well-run, informative and interesting small museum on the main street. It’s mostly volunteer-run and they do a great job in keeping it and making you feel welcome…Check out the herb garden too.”

“Enjoyable film and television location guided walk around Amersham hosted by Amersham Museum – here are the Sun Houses on Highover Park and further up the hill is High & Over.”
