We are inviting you to share your thoughts on our new exhibition plans, part of an exciting development project. You are invited to visit the museum this Saturday 21stMay, 10am-12 noon or on Wednesday 25th May, 4.30pm-6pm, to find out about our plans – and give us your feedback – on our new permanent exhibition galleries and learning space.
In 2013 the museum purchased the neighbouring building, 51 High Street, in order to create much needed space for delivering activities for schools and families, talks and temporary exhibitions. The space will also provide significantly improved conditions for collections storage and room for the museum to develop the collection in the future. A new, light and welcoming reception for the new museum will also be created.
