Museum MakersGet creative together with local award winning illustrator Elly Bazigos at Amersham Museum!

Inspired by the rich histories and fascinating collections of Amersham Museum, these hands-on sessions invite families to explore the past through art. Discover stories hidden in objects, photographs, and archives — then bring them to life using a variety of exciting materials and techniques.

From painting and collage to mixed media and experimental making, each session offers a new way to create together. No experience needed — just imagination!

Come along, get messy, and see history in a whole new way!

Pick up a stamp card. If you come to 3 sessions, you get the 4th free!

“Enjoyed our visit to this wonderful interactive museum where you are positively encouraged to touch things!”

“Visited Amersham museum yesterday – lovely place, provides many details on the history of the place. Plenty of cute cafes, pubs and shops around also… not difficult to find free parking nearby. ”

“A well-run, informative and interesting small museum on the main street. It’s mostly volunteer-run and they do a great job in keeping it and making you feel welcome…Check out the herb garden too.”

“Enjoyable film and television location guided walk around Amersham hosted by Amersham Museum – here are the Sun Houses on Highover Park and further up the hill is High & Over.”
