The Crown, AmershamJoin us for our inaugural Inns, Breweries and Maltings walk! Based on new research, this one mile walk around Old Amersham explores the history of its pubs, breweries and maltings.  Led by our knowledgeable guides, find out more about current and past hostelries, learn about the Weller family’s extensive brewing empire, and mark the first time we’ve shared the walk with a drink in The Crown at the end of the route (not included in the ticket price).

With thanks to Old Amersham Hotels for their support.

Pre-booking is recommended.

Notes

If you would like to visit the museum on the same day as your walk, this is possible from 12noon before the walk starts, but there is not time after the walk finishes.

If you have queries about accessibility or routes, please get in touch and we would be happy to provide you with detailed information.

Please make sure you have checked details before ordering tickets. It is necessary for the museum to charge a cancellation fee of £1 to cover credit card and administration costs.

“Visited Amersham museum yesterday – lovely place, provides many details on the history of the place. Plenty of cute cafes, pubs and shops around also… not difficult to find free parking nearby. ”

“A well-run, informative and interesting small museum on the main street. It’s mostly volunteer-run and they do a great job in keeping it and making you feel welcome…Check out the herb garden too.”

“Enjoyable film and television location guided walk around Amersham hosted by Amersham Museum – here are the Sun Houses on Highover Park and further up the hill is High & Over.”
