Our museum has lots of family-friendly hands-on exhibitions and we encourage families to explore the galleries and object boxes and garden.

Role play – upstairs in the Tudor Gallery you can role play at the banquet table and dress up like a Tudor

Trails – Can you spot Mischief Mouse hiding around the museum? Pick up a free trail sheet to discover more. There is also a Town Trail available which explores the details of Amersham’s historic High Street and the river Misbourne. The stewards at the front desk are happy to help with these.

Craft Cart – upstairs in the Woodcock Room there is a craft cart full of activities and resources to use. Get creative and make something inspired by your visit.

Toys – in this room there are also some toy boxes ideal for toddlers to enjoy playing with.

Garden – please ask our friendly stewards for the Garden Toy Box. It’s full of traditional games and toys for you to enjoy.
