| About this object | This advertising board was placed outside King’s Pharmacy in Old Amersham between 1910 and 1919, giving times of attendance in the town of Mr Brickwell, the dentist. We do not know when Ebenezer King opened his pharmacy at 6 Market Square. It was taken over by his son Tom who ran it with his wife Elsie (they married in 1938). For some time they lived on the premises, Elsie helping in the shop. As part of her duties she also travelled around the town and villages delivering prescriptions to people who were sick. The building is now Seasons café. |
